My tasks

My tasks module allows you to quickly access and manage all of the tasks you are assigned within different projects.

There are 3 types of views available in the My Tasks module:

  • List
  • Calendar
  • Timeline

In the upper right corner of each view, you'll find a few additional options:

  • Search - click on the "search" icon to open a search box and find a specific task you're assigned to;
  • Create task - allows to create a new task. Click on the "plus" icon, input the task's name, select a project and list it should be added to, and optionally assign due date or users;
  • Filters - allows you to filter your tasks within the selected view. Here you can choose the status, due date, tags, project it belongs to, or additional assignee;

List

List is the default view of the My Tasks module. Here you can conveniently manage all of your tasks within different projects.

The list view presents the task name, assigned users, its due date, the list and project it belongs to, its progress, and added tags.

By clicking on the name of any column (except Assignee and Tags) you can sort data alphabetically, ascending or descending.

If you click on the task name a full task view will be opened.

If you click on the value under other columns a small list will appear where you can change the assigned item without opening a full task view.

Calendar

Calendar is a very useful view if you'd like to check the tasks scheduled throughout the month or week.

On the top part of a Calendar, you can find a date picker that allows you to select a specific month. You can manually pick a month or use the arrows. The Today button will allow you to quickly get back to the present week or month.

To switch from Monthly to Weekly type of Calendar click on the View button and pick one from the list.

If you hover a mouse on a specific task it will be highlighted and you can click on the "user" or "progress" icon to quickly edit the assignee or update the progress. If you click on the specific task a full task view will be opened.

To create a new task you can simply click on any cell and fill in task details.

Timeline

Timeline is very similar to a Calendar view but it contains more various options for presenting data. Here you can choose between such views of tasks' timeline:

  • Week
  • 2 Weeks
  • Month
  • 3 Months
  • Half Year

On the top part of a Timeline, you can find information about the presented month. To navigate between timeframes use the arrows next to dates. The Today button will allow you to quickly get back to the present week or month.

If you hover a mouse on a specific task a small preview with the task's details will appear. But if you click twice on the specific task line a full task view will be opened.

To create a new task you can simply click on any cell and fill in task details.

Timeline view also provides an option to use a drag&drop method to change task timeframes. Click on the center of the task to activate the method, then drag it and drop on the target date on the timeline.

To change only a start or due date, click on the center of the task to activate the method, then drag one of the task edges to change the start or due date.
